Comprised of Dominican and American leaders, specialists, and artists, the DCRI’s Board of Directors is dedicated to creating a better Dominica for all.

Ezra Remer

Executive Director, Ezra Remer, is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He currently serves as the Lead Communications Director for the MIT-Haiti Initiative and as a Digital Communications Specialist for World Coffee Research First developing a passion for coffee at the age of nine, Ezra has spent the majority of his life working in the coffee industry.

Michael Savarin

Dominica Director, Michael Savarin, is a native of Tantan, Commonwealth of Dominica where his family has lived for generations. He graduated from Queen’s College in New York, New York with a double major in Economics and Urban Studies. His dedication to his island nation brought him back home to serve as the Director of the Tantan Village Development Corporation (TVDC), a nonprofit aiming to provide economic stimulus for the residents of the village of Tantan.

Alex Musca

American Director, Alex Musca, is a Los Angeles-born filmmaker, painter, and woodworker. He co-created Kushikatsu, an art collective based in Kobe, Japan, whose main focus is to give a voice to counter-culture artists and raise awareness for untreated Schizophrenia. Additionally, Alex’s paintings have been shown around the world, while his frames house works by artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and George Condo. Most recently Musca wrote and directed the award winning film Fishbone.

H Jordan Weitz

Operations Director, H Jordan Weitz, has spent the past twenty years helping companies manage risks. Currently, H is the Senior Director of the Global Ethics & Compliance Department’s Compliance Risk Intelligence Group at Carnival Corporation & plc. 

In October 2018, H joined the Ethics & Compliance organization where his focus has been on the identification, prevention, detection, response, and mitigation of risks facing the organization and its large fleet of vessels and shoreside locations operating around the world.  Prior to Carnival, H worked at Arthur Andersen LLC in the Business Process Risk Consulting division. 

H is deeply involved in the South Florida philanthropic community and currently serves on boards of Miami Waterkeeper (Board Chair) and Guitars Over Guns (Finance Committee Lead).
